NÜRBURGRING 24 Hours
Friday 14th May - Sunday 16th May 2010

Club Tertre Rouge is staging a trip to the amazing Nürburgring 24 Hour race. This inaugural three-day tour will depart from Folkestone on Friday 14th May, taking the Eurotunnel to Calais before embarking on a spirited drive through northern France to the beautiful Ardennes region of Belgium, home to the Spa Francorchamps circuit. Overnight accommodation has been arranged at a comfortable hotel where guests will enjoy an evening meal and where the day’s driving will no doubt be a main topic of discussion.

On the Saturday morning we will visit the Francorchamps circuit where everyone will have the opportunity to drive the wonderful track in their own cars. The tour will then drive the 75 miles, mostly on fabulous roads, to the picturesque Eifel Mountains and the Nordschleife Circuit in time for the start of the uniquely challenging Nürburgring 24 Hours.

We will arrive at the recently–opened Aston Martin Technical Centre in the early afternoon and this will be our base for the weekend. Located just minutes from the pits, the Technical Centre will provide secure parking and hospitality throughout the event.

It will then be time to absorb the magnificent spectacle of 180 cars starting the 38th running of this spectacular 24hr race. We have arranged access to the pits during the race to view the action close up and will have a dedicated shuttle vehicle at our disposal to transport guests to the most interesting vantage points on the full, 15.78–mile circuit (Nordschleife and GP circuit combined). A number of race–prepared Aston Martins will be competing for class and outright win honours on what’s universally acknowledged as the world’s most challenging purpose–built race circuit.

In the evening CTR guests will enjoy dinner and live music back at the Technical Centre, with overnight accommodation provided at the Dorint Hotel located on the full circuit’s start/finish straight.

On the Sunday the tour will start heading home, driving in convoy on the exciting roads of the Eiffel and Ardennes regions toward our final stopover at a chateau in Northern France (venue tba) where we will enjoy dinner.

Guests will depart on the Monday morning for the return Eurotunnel crossing and their journey home.

The inclusive price for the Nürburgring 24hr is being finalised and will be announced here shortly and in the next edition of our FullBore e–magazine.
